Medical Equipment Servicing

Book a service on a specific device the same way you would book a calibration — tell us the equipment, and a qualified, SAHPRA-registered technician inspects it, function-tests it and calibrates it where needed. On-site or in our workshop. No contract required.

Service, repair or calibration — which do you need?

These three get mixed up constantly, and asking for the wrong one costs you time. The difference is simply the state your equipment is in right now.

  • A service — the device works, and you want it kept that way. A technician inspects and function-tests it, and calibrates it where the device calls for that. Booked per device, exactly like a calibration — this is the page you are on.
  • A repair — something has already failed, or is behaving incorrectly. The device needs fixing before it can be used again.
  • A calibration — the device works, but you need its accuracy proven on paper for an audit or inspection.

The lines blur in practice, which is fine: a service often includes calibration, and a service sometimes uncovers a fault that turns into a repair. If you are not sure which you need, say so on the form and a technician will tell you — that is a faster route than guessing.

On-site, or collected to our workshop

Most servicing happens where the equipment lives, so nothing leaves your practice. Where a device needs bench equipment we cannot bring to you, we collect it and return it. Same-day response in Gauteng, and coverage nationwide across South Africa.

  • Qualified, SAHPRA-registered technicians — Reg. #00001974MD & #00002058MD
  • ISO 13485:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 certified, B-BBEE Level 1
  • SAHPRA- and ISO-compliant calibration certificates where calibration forms part of the service
  • 22 years in medical equipment, 2 548 assets on service record

Equipment we service

All major brands, across the devices a practice depends on daily. These pages cover what gets tested and what typically fails on each:

Ultrasound, electrosurgical units and theatre equipment are covered too — see the full equipment list, or just describe what you have on the form.

One service now, or a schedule that runs itself

Book a single service whenever you need one — that is what this page is for, and there is nothing to sign.

If you would rather stop tracking service and calibration dates altogether, a maintenance contract puts the same servicing on a planned schedule, and adds priority response and loan units during longer repairs. Either way the work and the technicians are the same; the contract just decides who remembers the dates.

Servicing FAQs

A service is planned work on equipment that is still working — inspection, function testing and calibration where the device calls for it. A repair is corrective work on a device that has already failed or is behaving incorrectly. If a service uncovers a fault, we tell you what it will take to put right before doing anything further.

No. You can book a single service whenever you want one, with nothing to sign. A maintenance contract is simply the same servicing put on a planned schedule, with priority response and loan units added — useful if you would rather not track service and calibration dates yourself.

Most servicing is done on-site so equipment never leaves your practice. Where a device needs bench equipment we cannot bring with us, we collect it and return it. Response is same-day in Gauteng, with coverage nationwide.

Where calibration forms part of the service, you receive SAHPRA- and ISO-compliant calibration certificates suitable for audits and inspections at both government and private facilities. If you specifically need certificates for a coming inspection, choose the calibration option on the form so it is scoped in from the start.

All major brands across patient and BP monitors, ECG machines, defibrillators, autoclaves, infusion pumps, ultrasound, electrosurgical units and theatre equipment. If your device is not on that list, describe it on the form — 22 years in medical equipment means it is rarely something we have not seen.

Working equipment stays working when someone looks at it.
